Our background
AdvaJP was founded in September 2007 to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between the Japanese culture and our own European culture. Based in Belgium, AdvaJP is particularly suitable for Europeans seeking to begin (or enhance) their journey towards an understanding and appreciation of Japan’s mesmerizing world and culture. Of course, any expatriate Japanese nationals now part of our humble country can also rely our help – both in terms of the language, but also in perfecting their integration amongst our fellow French-speaking countrymen.
Therefore AdvaJP’s ultimate aim is to teach the Japanese language, from beginner to advanced level, to individuals as to companies wishing to polish their image for their Japanese clients. These classes will be of equal interest to those without any prior knowledge as to Belgian expatriates returning to home soil as veterans in Japanese but wishing to maintain a good linguistic standard.
Other topics can also bring excellent value in terms of understanding Japanese culture: its history, its sociology… and of course, its cuisine. Each of these topics assist in gaining a more precise grasp of the state of mind of our Japanese friends, and can take either subsidiary or primary focus in courses, depending on preferences and requirements.
Courses in one or more of the topics above are taught by Takako Omata, educator in her homeland and certified teacher of Japanese as a foreign language here in Europe. This, along with her 12 years of experience in the European educational sector, means you will received a professional service adapted to your individual needs.
